MBBS FRACS (Ortho)
Dr James Rohrsheim is an Orthopaedic surgeon who has a sub-specialty interest in adult hip and knee replacements as well as revision hip surgery.
He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 1997. He completed his internship and resident medical officer rotations in Perth, Western Australia. After this time, following family tradition, he spent 4 years serving with the Royal Australian Navy, including 6 months embarked in HMAS ANZAC serving in the Arabian Gulf. For this he was awarded the Australian Active Service Medal.
He completed his surgical training in Sydney in 2009. On completion of this general Orthopaedic training, he gained post-fellowship experience in hip and knee replacement surgery in Belgium, Sydney and Exeter (UK) over a 2-year period.
Dr Rohrsheim is married with 3 children. When not at work he enjoys golf, tennis, bushwalking and cycling.
